It has been my dream, ever since I was 12 years old, to travel to the land of my ancestors, to stand on the banks of Loch Lomond, to look out over rolling countryside and know that this is where my roots are.  Over the course of the following 36 years, I built Scotland up in my mind until it became this almost magical, mystical place.   I always dreamed of one day getting the chance to visit, but never imagined it would come true.  Even as plans for this trip developed, tickets were bought, arrangements made, it still did not seem like it would happen.  When I stood on the grounds of Culcreuch Castle, looking out over the countryside, filling my lungs with the sweet, fresh air, I closed my eyes, and realized I was home.  The years of waiting, dreaming, anticipating, had resulted in a week of experiences and memories that I will hold dear for the rest of my life.  This was truly an amazing adventure.  Thank you all who made it possible.
