Dr John H Galbreath 1920-2006

Friday, February 10th, 2006

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Dr John H Galbreath, 85, on Jan 23, 2006. In a recent message, Dr Galbraith’s daughter, Lisa Richards said this:

“My father, John H. Galbreath (member #931), passed away 2 weeks ago. I’m so grateful that he took the time to have his DNA tested before he died.

I told my dad while we were at Culcreuch for our family reunion and a niece’s wedding last summer that he had truly come “full circle” in his life. When he first heard of the castle, it was a dream for him to go there. We stayed for a week and had the whole place to ourselves for our reunion. We also took a cruise on Loch Lomond and saw Inch Galbraith, which was quite enriching as well. These are wonderful memories for all of us and we feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to share them with our father. He had a blessed life.”

Dr Galbreath was a valued member of our association and he will be missed by all who knew him.

February Red Tower is Online

Tuesday, February 7th, 2006

Taffy Satter, our new Red Tower Editor has provided us with our first fully computer generated Red Tower that is suitable for viewing online and downloading. Great work Taffy! All Clan Galbraith Association members may go to the Members Only area of our website and view or download the February, 2006 issue.

For those who don’t have members only area logons, please be patient. We have logons for all members who have provided email addresses to our Association Secretary, Joyce Higginbotham. They are in the process of being emailed to each member now and should be all in the mail by Wednesday, 8 Feb. If you have an email address and have not sent it to Joyce, please do so now. Also update any obsolete addresses with her.

The online Red Tower has lots of color graphics and photos and is much much sharper and clearer than the previous hardcopy issues. The next issue will be even better. Right, Taffy?
