The Desert Rose
Many of our members have unusual hobbies, but Skip and Joyce Higginbotham have set the new high-water mark for unusual hobbies in CGA with their “Desert Rose” Bonneville Racer.
On their last trip to Bonneville salt flats, they were literally flooded out by a quick, brief rain that left them sitting in the middle of a shallow lake. Too shallow for unlimited hydroplane racing and too deep for “The Desert Rose”, their 300+ mph – uhhh – machine.
