Nearly all of the web pages on the Clan Galbraith Association website have been changed to make the page display more compatible with the Firefox web browser. The pages still display slightly better in MS Internet Explorer, but now work better with Firefox, also.
All of the changes are “under the hood” and won’t be noticed unless there is an error on a page. If you notice an obvious error in any page display, please notify the WebSite Admin via the link on our home page. “Techie” comments are also welcome, but we are mainly interested in display anomalies that would be noticed by a casual user.

An American family with a love of Scottish culture has bought the Galbraith ancestral home, Culcreuch Castle in Stirlingshire, Scotland. The new owners also purchased 300 acres of the surrounding estate.

David Littlefair and Andrew Haslam, directors of Hideaway Country Holidays, who have owned the hotel for more than 20 years will continue to act as directors for the property. The family, who doesn’t want to be named, paid an “undisclosed sum” for the property. Short and long term renovation projects are in planning and, apparently, the property will continue to function as a hotel, as in the past.

On the 24th of February, Larry and Barbara Patterson ably represented CGA at the NorthEast Florida Scottish Games at Green Cove Springs, Florida. They had a first-class display of Scottish and Clan Galbraith information at their table.

Barbara had on display some adorable knitted Scottish Dolls.

And Larry had a pair of claymores on display. Larry, can I borrow one of those to split my firewood?

Go to THIS website to view beautiful spherical panoramas of Scotland and Wales. Apple Quicktime Viewer is required to view these panoramas, but it is well worth the trouble to download the viewer, just to see these panoramas. The panoramas are stunning in full screen mode on my 21 inch monitor. Just move your mouse in the direction you want to view and you will feel like you are standing in the middle of the scene!
