I may have mixed this William with his uncle William, who was known to have been married a Sarah (Jean H.) However, uncle William (brother to Samuel Jr) died before 1800, as there is widow Sarah in that Census.
Now, it could be that one of the other sons of Samuel sr had a William; however I suspect they were born to late to have had this William.
Jean H. says that William died in 1814 childless--
However the William who was married to sarah Kairns of Rye had a son Andrew, according to the Will father John Kairns, drafted 21 Sept 1802. Additionally that 1800 Census shows William with one son, under 10 years of age
Note: that John Elliott (son-in-law to Samuel Sr) was a witness to John Kairns
