It is highly likely that Robert had a son as Joseph Galbrath, Esqr in 1751 Pd the largest tax in district East End of Derry 0.9.0 see Engl Notes and Queries Relating to PA V.1, page 115
(but not in East Side Derry in 1758)-this Joseph was thus born before 1730) This is the area of Paxtang
I have serious doubts about the placement of the this Joseph's putative nephew Joseph to James. I believe that the Joseph that went to NC lived in the NE part of Cumberland, while putative father James was living/died in the SW portion. And Joseph names his first child Robert-so the Joseph of NC is expected to have been the child of a Robert. In fact could this Joseph be the one who died in Mechlenburg in 1787, since his eldest son was James?
And therefore, perhaps the Joseph of Mecklenburg d. 1795 should be this one??

[592] Robert Galbraith of Philadelphia bought 150 acres of land in Straban from a John Galbreath of Straban Twp, York Co. in 1765 (Deed Book E-141), land John had acquired in 1754. While we cannot yet identify John (he is on the 1762 tax role* but not the 1772), it is likely that Robert was the brother of James (died 1772), both of Straban. The Philadelphia Will Book N #260 has: "John Galbreath. City of Philadelphia Merchant. 18 March 1766. 12 April 1766. Wife: Jean. Brothers: James, Robert." (In the next Red Tower, I will discuss John of Philadelphia.) Robert likely relocated from Philadelphia to Straban as a Robert appears in the 1779-1783 tax records of York-Straban (Penn Abstracts III-21), with 200 acres, and in 1783 with a residence of eight. A Robert Gilbraith was admitted to practice as an attorney in York on 22 October 1765 (History of York Co, p71 by W. C. Carter [1834]) and given that the tax rolls shows Robert as 'Esquire', these two should be the same. Robert's land purchase and acceptance to the York bar occurred one week apart. The tax list of 1779 in Straban includes under single men a Rob't Galbreath with no assessment; he might be the son of James (d. 1772). Further, in 1779, there are several references to Robert Galbreath of Straban, 'private'. One involves a court case where Robert paid D26 to a reluctant draft substitute-I assume this was not the elder Robert, Esq. of Straban. Robert Galbreath, Esquire, was representative to the General Assembly in 1780 (PA Colonial Records Vol. 12-513). Another Robert Galbreath
