Comments: Thank you for allowing me into your Clan Galbraith world. I went the Highland Games in Grandfather mountain a couple weeks ago and was impressed with familial nature of everyone there. I have gone down the rabbit hole and found one of my ancestors to be Angus Galbraith, born in Greenock , Scotland in 1720. I look forward to exploring and researching this site for much more info.
Comments: I’m one of 10 children. My GG Grandfather was Henry Galbaith of Pennsylvania. He was a Carpenter and a teacher and fought in the Civil War. I’m looking deeper into my family history and I’m not finding his father and mother and I’d like to know when my family came to America and where and when they landed. Also, did they come from Scotland 🏴 or Ireland 🇮🇪 when they arrived. Thank you.
Admin reply: Dear Donald, Thank you for you comment. Off the top of my head I cannot answer your question about your GG Grandfather, Henry Galbraith of Pennsylvania. I would encourage you to go to join our society where you will have a wealth of information available to you in our databases. I would also encourage you to join Clan Galbraith's Facebook page where we share information.
Sincerely, Paul B. Galbraith President of Clan Galbraith Society

Comments: Hello, my name is Diana Galbraith and my father was Andrew Donald Galbraith born in Philadelphia, PA, in 1928.
My great grandfather Galbraith emigrated from Ireland when he was 12, we think. We would like to know why the family lived in Ireland for a couple of generations.
Admin reply: Dear Diana, Thank you for your guestbook entry. I personally do not have the answer for you, however, I believe our Society does. I would encourage you to do two things: 1. join our Society. You can do that at clangalbraith.org. It only costs $45.00 for a 3 year membership. 2. Join our Clan Galbraith Facebook group. Between the two you will get answers to your questions and probably meet family you did not know you had.
