I can find no evidence that Mary was ever married to a Brennan.
Does anyone know of any information that shows Mary Dill, who married Robert Galbraith of Allen Twp Cumberland Co PA, to have been previously married to a Brannon?
Yes there was a marriage by Mary Brannon to A Robert Galbraith in Philadelphia in 1773. But why is it believed that the marriage was to a Robert of Cumberland? Robert of Philadelphia lived in that city in 1775, was son-in-law to Mr Branon, and there was also ref. to a Robert in the same area of the city as early as 1767 (see my earlier message on Two Roberts and Marys.
It is well known that Robert of Allen Twp did marry a Mary Dill (from various wills) and I have not found a marriage record for Mary Dill to a Galbraith or to a Brannon. But why is it assumed that Robert married a Mary Brannon, which people show as Mary (Dill) Brannon.
